🌀Vortex Lounge™
A Social Spiral Built for Orbiting, Spinning, and Settling In
Vortex Lounge™ is a modular, multi-level seating sculpture designed to draw people in and hold them in motion or in conversation. Inspired by whirlpools, vinyl records, and circular plazas, it’s a place to orbit, recline, lean, perch, or post up. Every part of its spiral invites people to move closer without needing a reason.
It’s not just a bench. It’s a gravitational pull.
The Philosophy
Cities need centripetal force—a reason for people to gather in loose formation. Vortex Lounge™ offers soft structure for that pull: social, not scripted. Movement, not mandates.
Circular form encourages spontaneous clustering
Multi-height levels allow for casual layering
The absence of a “front” makes it equally welcoming from all angles
Encourages seated storytelling, lounging, resting, and revolving social energy
It’s where extroverts orbit and introverts anchor.
Modular Build Options
Each Vortex Lounge™ is modular and can scale to suit the site. Typically built in 2–3 tiers with an optional inner core feature.
Design variations include:
Inner circle planter, fireless flame bowl, or sculptural centerpiece
Padded or curved seating backs
Solar-powered light rings for nighttime glow
Built-in side tables or cup rests
Radial sound system for ambient audio (optional)
